Ek Villain reached at 50 Cr. on its first weekend

Ek Villain had done huge business on the 3rd day, Sunday. The 1st weekend box office collection is around 50.5 cr. The first weekend total box office collections is the 2nd Highest Collections for any film in 2014 after Jai Ho (60.68 cr).

The movie showed a growth of around 20 % from Saturday business which is outstanding. Anil Thadani who bought All India rights of the film at 25 cr has already recovered his entire amount from the weekend share only and the movie is already in profits.

Ek Villain-box officeThe romantic-thriller managed to earn Rs 16.72 crore the opening day. It has also turned out to be the biggest opener for producer Ekta Kapoor. Taran had earlier tweeted that the movie had thunderous start and the opening day figures will come as a ‘shocker’ for many.

Ek Villain’ hit theatres on June 27. The film’s music composed by Mithoon and Ankit Tiwari is on everyone’s playlist, with ‘Galiyaan by Shraddha Kapoor and ‘Banjara’ emerging as obvious favourites.
