Biography : Ali Fazal is an Indian actor, born on 15 October 1986 in Lucknow. He studied in The Doon School in Dehra Dun and he graduated in economics from St. Xaviers, Mumbai.

Film director Rajkumar Hirani noted Ali Fazal on his one of stage performances, he gave him a role in Bollywood super hit 3 Idiots, in the film, 3 Idiots, Fazal plays Engineering student 'Joy' who commits suicide.

In 2013 came in super-hit film Fukrey, in which he portrayed the role of a struggling musician. The same year, Fazal appeared in the Shuja Ali-directed film Baat Bann Gayi in which he portrayed the dual roles of Kabir and Rasiya Bihari. The movie got negative reviews.

In 2014, Fazal appeared in a supporting role, alongside Vidya Balan in Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha-produced comedy-drama film, Bobby Jasoos. Fazal played a popular local TV anchor who helps a Hyderabadi woman who aspires to be a detective (played by Balan) was well received.

The same year he appeared in Charudutt Acharya-directed film Sonali Cable where he portrayed the role of Raghu. His acting received mixed response from critics.

Fazal has several upcoming projects. He will appear in Saeed Akhtar Mirza-directed film Ek Tho Chance. He has also committed to star in Mahesh Bhatt's production Khamoshiyan. In the film, the actor will be playing the protagonist. He also has a cameo in Hollywood action film, Furious 7 which is the seventh installment in The Fast and the Furious film series.
