Story: The story revolves around a rich Gujarati businessman Praveen Patel played by Ram Kapoor who is a huge fan of Bollywood actress Shanaya played by Sunny Leone. His wife Kokila (Suchita Trivedi) is a spiritual woman, who spends most of her time singing hymns.
Praveen’s son Jigar (Navdeep Chabbra) is in love with his neighbour Naina (Evelyn Sharma) and wants to get married to her. He is trying by all means to persuade his father for the same.
Twist in the story comes, when Praveen gets a chance to meet his favourite actress Shanaya (Sunny Leone) and she expresses her desire to stay at his place to learn the nuances of Gujarati cultural for her next project.
It’s not that sex comedies aren’t leaving their mark on middle-class Indian subconsciousness, but for them to be effective, the films need to be penetrating in their content and presentation. This Sunny Leone-starrer has nothing. In fact, it’s nowhere close to being called an entertainer, something the makers repeatedly promised in the promos.
Performances: Ram Kapoor is an extremely decent actor but his acting in this movie crosses boundaries, i am surprised that how he chose this film. Sunny Leone has done same as she done in her all previous films, just displays her body.
Navdeep Chabbra as Jigar Patel is quite expressionless himself. I have no clue why they would show someone who is quite stone faced to be a rockstar.
Music: This one is a pretty loaded album with as many as seven songs out there with a collage of composers and lyricists. The music of Kuch Kuch Locha Hai delivers well with at least three catchy numbers that would make sure that the soundtrack won’t go unnoticed.
In fact it could well have covered a greater distance had the music promotion started earlier since songs like ‘Ishq Da Maara’ and ‘Na Jaane Kya Hai Tumse Waasta’ take time to grow. However, there are three successful numbers – ‘Paani Wala Dance’, ‘Daaru Peeke Dance’, ‘Aao Na’ – which should please those associated with the film as well as the audience.
